Author Guidelines
These instructions will ensure we have everything required so your paper can move through peer review, production and publication smoothly. Please take the time to read and follow them as closely as possible, as doing so will ensure your paper matches the journal's requirements.
The Context (ISSN 2349-4948) Journal of English is open for submissions throughout the year.
Structure
Manuscripts should be compiled in the following order:
- Title of the paper (not more than 12 words)
- Author(s) details: full name, designation, institute / affiliation address, email and contact number
- Expected Optional details: ORCID, Scopus Author ID
- Date of submission (DD/MM/YYYY)
- Abstract (100 to 150 words);
- Keywords (3 to 5 only);
- Main text (Minimum 2000 words, Maximum 5000 words);
- End notes (if any, foot notes NOT allowed)
- Works cited (MLA 9th Edition)
- Acknowledgements (if any);
Word limits
A research paper for this journal should have minimum 2,000 words and no more than 5,000 words; this limit includes works cited list; tables; figure captions; end notes.

Inclusion and Exclusion Criteria
We adhere to the following Inclusion and Exclusion Criteria for The Context Journal.
Inclusion Criteria
- Research reported in English language
- Studies using qualitative methods of analysis
- Original and Unpublished first hand qualitative studies
- Studies involving secondary qualitative analysis of qualitative data
- Research formatted in MLA (9th Edition) Style sheet
- Research within the scope of the journal only
- Research that contributes significant findings
Exclusion Criteria
- Published Papers & abstracts
- Dissertations /theses
- Lexical studies that analyze natural language data presented as quantitative results
- Studies without a research methodologies
- Qualitative studies using questionnaires or other methods that do not involve direct contact or observation of participants
- Any study where text / data not analyzed i.e. uninterpreted data
- Case reports
- Any review (systematic, narrative, qualitative)
- Commentary articles, written to convey opinion or stimulate research /discussion, with no research component.
- Creative writings: poems, short stories, short fiction, etc.
